11" Hi-Hat Controller on Yamaha DTX700
Setup — 11" Hi-Hat Controller on Yamaha DTX700
Reduced — switch (open/closed)The 11" Hi-Hat Controller works on your Yamaha DTX700 with reduced zones.

Wiring: 1× TRS pad → Hi-Hat input + 1× TRS pedal → HH Controller input (1/4" TRS jacks)
The DTX700 manual documents continuous hi-hat control via the HH Controller input, but Yamaha's HH Ctrl is designed for Yamaha's own RHH135/HH65 signaling. Roland VH-series and Roland-CV-style pedal compatibility is not documented by Yamaha. Conservatively listed as open/closed for the Lemon pedal.
Cable routing
- Connect the hi-hat pad to the Hi-Hat input.
- Connect the pedal controller to the HH Controller jack.
Module settings
- TRIGGER button > select Hi-Hat > Trigger Setup: Pad Type, Gain, Sensitivity, Threshold, Crosstalk Cancel, Retrigger Cancel.
- MENU > Trigger > HH Controller Calibration for pedal setup.
Tips
- The Lemon pedal will trigger open/closed states via the HH Controller input.
- Half-open and splash articulations are not guaranteed — the DTX700 is calibrated for Yamaha's own RHH135 pedal curve, not Roland's.
