Use as switch hi-hatThe Hi-Hat Controller Sensor works on the NUX DM-7X as a switch hi-hat: open/closed only.

Wiring: 1× TRS (pad) → Hi-Hat branch + 1× TRS (controller) → Hi-hat Control branch on the multi-pin trigger snake
Switch-type (open/closed) hi-hat. The DM-7X HIHAT SETTING menu reads the pedal position against HH OPEN VAL / HH CLOSE VAL thresholds and quantizes it to open or closed — the MIDI note map carries open and closed states only, with no half-open entry. Calibrate the pedal range after connecting.
Cable routing
- Plug the Lemon hi-hat pad into the HI-HAT branch of the trigger snake.
- Plug the hi-hat controller into the Hi-hat Control branch of the trigger snake.
Module settings
- Press MENU > TRIGGER, hit the hi-hat pad to select it, and set its SENSITIVITY; then open MENU > HIHAT SETTING for the pedal.
- Set HH VOLUME (hi-hat level, 0-126), and adjust HH OPEN VAL (70-126) / HH CLOSE VAL (1-60) so the open and closed points match your pedal's travel.
Hi-Hat Controller Sensor also fits 70 other drum modules — see setup
