Setup details by role

Snare pad 1-zone 1× TRS → SNARE input (1/4" TRS jack)

The snare input supports dual-zone (head + rim) triggering via center piezo and rim switch.

Tom pad 1-zone 1× TRS per tom → TOM1, TOM2, TOM3 inputs (1/4" TRS jacks)

The tom inputs support dual-zone (head + rim) triggering via center piezo and rim switch.

Kick pad Works 1× TS or TRS → KICK input (1/4" TRS jack)

Single-zone kick trigger. Only the head zone is active.

2-zone crash 2-zone 1× TRS → Crash1 or Crash2 input (1/4" TRS jack)

The DTX700 reads 2-zone cymbals (bow + edge) on its stereo TRS crash inputs — set the cymbal pad type so both zones register.

3-zone ride 1-zone 1× TRS from the cymbal's Ride 2 output → RIDE trigger input jack — bow only

Full 3-zone is not supported — the DTX700 reads cymbal zones with Yamaha's own single-cable scheme (resistance-coded rim switches), which the Lemon ride's switch zones don't match. Connect the cymbal's Ride 2 output and play it as a bow-only ride.

Hi-hat Open/Closed 1× TRS pad → [HI-HAT] input + 1× TRS pedal → [HI-HAT CONTROL] jack (1/4" TRS jacks)

The DTX700 has a dedicated [HI-HAT CONTROL] jack (p.12; specification [HI HAT CONTROL], p.57) and documents graded closing — a firmer press in the closed position for a tighter sound, plus a foot-splash (p.23). With the Lemon controller this module delivers open/closed hi-hat.
