Wiring: 1× TRS → HI-HAT input on the rear panel + 1× TRS → HH CTRL input on the rear panel
Continuous hi-hat control. Supports the FD-7 hi-hat control pedal.
Cable routing
- Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the hi-hat pad to the HI-HAT input on the rear panel.
- Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the hi-hat controller pedal to the HH CTRL input on the rear panel.
Module settings
- Press [SETUP], then [F1 (TRIG)] — the "TRIGGER BANK" screen appears.
- Navigate to the HI-HAT input.
- Set the trigger type to PD7 or PD9 for the hi-hat pad — the FD-7 control pedal on the HH CTRL jack needs no type setting.
Tips
- Continuous pedal control provides smooth open-to-closed transitions.
- After turning on the power, do not step on the pedals or strike the pads until the drum kit name appears — depressing the hi-hat control pedal during power-up prevents proper open/close control.
