Cable routing
- Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the hi-hat pad to the HI-HAT input on the rear panel.
- Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the hi-hat controller to the HH CTRL input on the rear panel.
Module settings
- Press [SETUP], then press [F1 (TRIG)], and then press [F1 (BANK)].
- Use [CURSOR] to move off the BANK field, then strike the hi-hat pad — the cursor moves to that pad's trigger number.
- Set the trigger type to PD7 — the TD-10's trigger-type list has no hi-hat values. Pedal position is read from the HH CTRL jack, not from the trigger type.
Tips
- Continuous pedal control provides smooth open-to-closed transitions.
- After turning on the power, do not press the hi-hat control pedal until the drum kit name appears in the display — otherwise open/close operations cannot be performed correctly.
