Switch-type hi-hat pedal control. The TD-1 distinguishes open, closed, and foot-closed states only — fine half-open and splash articulations are not reproduced like higher-tier Roland modules.
Cable routing
- Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the hi-hat pad to the HI-HAT connector on the DB-25 cable snake.
- Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the hi-hat controller pedal to the HI-HAT CTRL connector on the DB-25 cable snake.
Module settings
- The TD-1 has limited menu settings for trigger configuration — no continuous pedal calibration is exposed.
Tips
- The TD-1 reliably detects open and closed pedal states; finer articulations are limited by the module's simplified hi-hat engine.
- For best results, ensure the pedal is set to its rest position when powering on the module.
