Setup details by role

Snare pad 2-zone 1× TRS → SNARE connector on the DB-25 cable snake

Dual-zone snare triggering: head (tip) and rim (ring) respond independently via the single TRS connection. Set the Snare pad type to S2 (PDX-8/PDX-6) to enable rim sounds on a Lemon mesh snare.

Tom pad 1-zone 1× TRS per tom → TOM1, TOM2, TOM3 connectors on the DB-25 cable snake

The Roland TD-1 tom inputs are single-zone — only the head piezo is read. Rim hits on a dual-zone tom pad will not produce a separate sound.

Kick pad Works 1× TS or TRS → KICK connector on the DB-25 cable snake

Single-zone kick trigger via the cable snake. Only the head zone is active.

2-zone crash 2-zone 1× TRS → CRASH connector on the DB-25 cable snake (the TD-1 also exposes a CR2 cymbal input — connect a second cymbal to CRASH2 if your cable snake includes one)

Dual-zone crash triggering: bow (tip) and edge (ring) respond independently via the single TRS connection. Choke works by grabbing the cymbal edge. The TD-1 supports two 2-zone cymbal inputs (CR1 and CR2).

3-zone ride 2-zone 1× TRS: Ride 1 (bow/edge) → RIDE connector on the DB-25 cable snake

Plug the Lemon ride's Ride 1 cable into the RIDE connector for bow + edge. The TD-1 reads it as a 2-zone bow/edge ride from its built-in kits — no menu setup, no cymbal modification.

Hi-hat Open/Closed 1× TRS → HI-HAT connector on the DB-25 cable snake + 1× TRS → HHC connector on the DB-25 cable snake

Switch-type hi-hat pedal control. The TD-1 distinguishes open, closed, and foot-closed states only — fine half-open and splash articulations are not reproduced like higher-tier Roland modules.
