Wiring: 1× TRS → HI-HAT connector on the DB-25 cable snake + 1× TRS → HHC connector on the DB-25 cable snake
Switch-type hi-hat pedal control. The TD-1 distinguishes open, closed, and foot-closed states only — fine half-open and splash articulations are not reproduced like higher-tier Roland modules.
Cable routing
- Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the hi-hat pad to the HI-HAT connector on the DB-25 cable snake.
- Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the hi-hat controller pedal to the HHC connector on the DB-25 cable snake.
Module settings
- Press the [Select] button to select Drums mode, then long-press the [Metronome] button so the mode lamp blinks (Making Detailed Settings).
- Press the [Select] button to blink the Drums mode lamp (Adjust the Pad Sensitivity).
- Play the hi-hat pad, then use the [-] [+] buttons to adjust its sensitivity.
- Press the [Metronome] button to complete the setting.
Tips
- The TD-1 reliably detects open and closed pedal states; finer articulations are limited by the module's simplified hi-hat engine.
- For best results, ensure the pedal is set to its rest position when powering on the module.
