Setup details by role
Snare pad 2-zone Snare branch on the multi-pin trigger snake → snare pad
Dual-zone snare: head and rim are read over the one lead.
Tom pad 2-zone Tom 1 / Tom 2 / Tom 3 branch on the multi-pin trigger snake → one per tom pad
Dual-zone toms: head and rim are read over one lead per tom. A fourth tom is available on the TOM jack of the interface panel's TRIGGER IN pair, which reads head and rim like the cable's tom branches.
Kick pad Works Kick branch on the multi-pin trigger snake → kick pad
Single-zone kick trigger via the snake's Kick branch.
2-zone crash 2-zone Crash branch on the multi-pin trigger snake → cymbal, or 1× TRS → the CYMBAL jack of the interface panel's TRIGGER IN pair
Dual-zone crash: bow and edge respond independently. The trigger cable carries one Crash branch; a second cymbal goes on the CYMBAL jack of the interface panel's TRIGGER IN pair.
3-zone ride 2-zone RIDE branch on the multi-pin trigger snake → Ride 1 (bow/edge)
Plug the RIDE branch into the Lemon ride's Ride 1 output for bow + edge — no cymbal modification. The ride's second zone is assignable, so give it a ride-edge or crash voice.
Hi-hat Open/Closed Hi-Hat branch → hi-hat pad + Hi-hat Control branch → hi-hat controller, both on the multi-pin trigger snake
Switch-type (open/closed) hi-hat. The DM-7X HIHAT SETTING menu reads the pedal position against HH OPEN VAL / HH CLOSE VAL thresholds and quantizes it to open or closed — the MIDI note map carries open and closed states only, with no half-open entry. Calibrate the pedal range after connecting.
