Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T550 12" Snare when used with the Simmons Titan 50.

Yes — the T550 12" Snare works as a full snare on the Simmons Titan 50: head + rim.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS → the "To Snare" branch of the multi-pin cable harness

The snare input is dual-zone (head + rim): the module's own note defaults list Snare – Center and Snare – Rim as separate MIDI notes.

Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from the snare pad to the branch of the multi-pin cable harness labeled "To Snare".

Press the SETUP button, then strike the snare to select it (the LED to the right of the display shows the selected input).
Press SETUP repeatedly to step through Sens, Retrigger, Threshold, Curve, and X-Talk.
For the head/rim balance set Ratio — on the snare, Ratio also raises rimshot sensitivity.

Head triggers from the center piezo, rim from a second piezo on the ring.
Both zones respond independently on the TRS connection (tip = head, ring = rim).
