T550 12" Snare on Roland V51

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T550 12" Snare when used with the Roland V51.

The T550 12" Snare is fully supported on your Roland V51.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS → SNARE connector on the DB-25 cable snake

Dual-zone triggering: head (tip) and rim (ring) respond independently via the single TRS connection. The module's snare input reads both piezo (head) and rim switch/piezo signals.

Cable routing

Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from the snare pad to the SNARE connector on the DB-25 cable snake.

Module settings

Press [TRIGGER] > [F1] BANK.
Navigate to the SNARE input.
Set the trigger type to PD-128S or PD-140DS depending on your pad size.

Tips

Head triggers from the center piezo, rim triggers from the rim switch.
Both zones respond independently on the TRS connection (tip = head, ring = rim).
