T550 12" Snare on Alesis DM10

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T550 12" Snare when used with the Alesis DM10.

The T550 12" Snare is fully supported on your Alesis DM10.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS → SNARE input on the rear panel (individual 1/4" TRS jack)

The DM10 has 12 individual 1/4" TRS jacks on the rear panel — no cable snake. The SNARE input supports dual-zone (head + rim) triggering via center piezo and rim switch.

Cable routing

Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from the snare pad to the SNARE input on the rear panel.

Module settings

Go to Ext. Trig Menu. Select the Snare input.
Set Piezo/Switch type to Switch for dual-zone pads.
Adjust Sensitivity and Threshold to taste.

Tips

Head triggers from the center piezo, rim triggers from the rim switch.
Both zones respond independently on the TRS connection (tip = head, ring = rim).
