Setup — T550 12" Snare on Roland TD-02

Reduced — 1-zone (head only)

The T550 12" Snare works on your Roland TD-02 with reduced zones.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS → SNARE connector on the DB-25 cable snake

The Roland TD-02 snare input is single-zone — only the head piezo is read. Rim hits on a dual-zone pad will not produce a separate sound.

Cable routing

  1. Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from the snare pad to the SNARE connector on the DB-25 cable snake.

Module settings

  1. The TD-02 has limited menu settings for trigger configuration.
  2. Navigate to the snare input and confirm the pad is detected.

Tips

  1. Head triggers from the center piezo, rim triggers from the rim switch.
  2. Both zones respond independently on the TRS connection (tip = head, ring = rim).
