Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T550 12" Snare when used with the Roland TD-02.

Yes — the T550 12" Snare works as a full snare on the Roland TD-02: head + rim.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS → SNARE connector on the DB-25 cable snake

Dual-zone snare triggering: head (tip) and rim (ring) respond independently via the single TRS connection. Set the snare pad type to PDX8 so rim shots and cross-stick register on a Lemon mesh snare.

Cable routing

Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from the snare pad to the SNARE connector on the DB-25 cable snake.

Module settings

Press the [MENU] button, use the [▲] [▼] buttons to select "PAD", and press the [ENTER] button — the PAD screen appears.
Strike the snare pad to select it (or hold [ENTER] and press the [▲] [▼] buttons).
Use the [▲] [▼] buttons to select "Type" and the [-] [+] buttons to set the snare PAD type to "PDX8".
Select "Sens" (1–32) and "Threshold" (0–31) and adjust each with the [-] [+] buttons if the default response needs tuning.
Press the [DRUM KIT] button to return to the DRUM KIT screen.

Tips

Head triggers from the center piezo, rim triggers from the rim switch.
Both zones respond independently on the TRS connection (tip = head, ring = rim).
