T550 12" Snare on Alesis Strike Pro

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T550 12" Snare when used with the Alesis Strike Pro.

Setup — T550 12" Snare on Alesis Strike Pro

Works

Yes — the T550 12" Snare works as a full snare on the Alesis Strike Pro: head + rim.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS → SNARE input (1/4" TRS jack)

The snare input supports dual-zone (head + rim) triggering via the center piezo and the rim piezo.

Cable routing

  1. Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from the snare pad to the SNARE input on the rear panel.

Module settings

  1. Press Edit > Triggers (button 19) to enter Trigger Mode.
  2. Turn Note Chase (button 12) on and strike the snare to select its trigger (or cursor to the Trig field and turn the data dial).
  3. Use the cursors to select a parameter, then the data dial to set Sensitivity (00-99).
  4. Set Threshold (00-99) and, if you get double-triggers, raise Retrigger (00-99).
  5. Pick a Curve (Linear, Log 1-4, Exp 1-4, Spline 1-4) to taste; press Save to keep the trigger settings.

Tips

  1. Head triggers from the center piezo, rim from a second piezo mounted under the head.
  2. Both zones share the one TRS connection (tip = head, ring = rim).
  3. On an input that reads head and rim, if the wrong zone plays, tune the module's head/rim settings for this pad's size; values set for a different-size pad may not carry over.
T550 12" Snare also fits 76 other drum modules — see setup
