The snare input is dual-zone (head + rim): the module's note chart gives SNARE and SNARE RIM SHOT separate MIDI notes.

- Plug the SNARE lead of the multi-pin cable harness into the snare pad — the leads are marked with the pad each one goes to. The harness ends in a multi-pin connector that plugs into the DB25 Serial Connection Jack on the bottom of the module; apart from the right-side-panel Crash 2 and Tom 4 jacks, every pad reaches the SD1200 through the harness.
Module settings
- Go to Utility > Trigger and select the Snare pad, then adjust Sensitivity, Threshold, Curve, Retrigger, and Crosstalk.
Tips
- Head triggers from the center piezo, rim from a second piezo mounted under the head.
- On an input that reads head and rim, if the wrong zone plays, tune the module's head/rim settings for this pad's size; values set for a different-size pad may not carry over.
