Snare pad 2-zone 1× TRS → SNARE connector on the DB-25 cable snake
Dual-zone snare triggering: head (tip) and rim (ring) respond independently via the single TRS connection. Set the snare pad type to PDX8 so rim shots and cross-stick register on a Lemon mesh snare.
Tom pad 1-zone 1× TRS per tom → TOM1, TOM2, TOM3 connectors on the DB-25 cable snake
The Roland TD-02 tom inputs are single-zone — only the head piezo is read. Rim hits on a dual-zone tom pad will not produce a separate sound.
Kick pad Works 1× TS or TRS → KICK connector on the DB-25 cable snake
Single-zone kick trigger via the cable snake. Only the head zone is active.
2-zone crash 2-zone 1× TRS → CRASH connector on the DB-25 cable snake
Dual-zone crash triggering: bow (tip) and edge (ring) respond independently via the single TRS connection. Choke works by grabbing the cymbal edge. The TD-02 supports Roland CY-series 2-zone cymbals.
3-zone ride 3-zone 2× TRS: bow/edge → RD (ride) connector, bow/bell → CR2 (crash 2) connector on the dedicated connection cable — set CR2Usage to RDB
Full 3-zone ride (bow, bell, edge). The TD-02 reads the bow/edge cable on its RD input and the bell on the CR2 input with CR2Usage set to RDB — the same CY-13R hookup the Lemon ride is already wired for. Assigning CR2 to the ride bell occupies the crash-2 input, so a second crash pad can't be connected at the same time.
Hi-hat Continuous 1× TRS → HI-HAT connector on the DB-25 cable snake + 1× TRS → HHC connector on the DB-25 cable snake
Continuous hi-hat control. The TD-02 reads the Lemon hi-hat controller through its VH-10/VH-11 pad type, giving smooth open-to-closed movement plus foot-splash. Set the hi-hat pad type and run the module's VH offset routine so open and closed positions are detected correctly.
