Snare pad 2-zone The snare lead on the dedicated connection cable → snare pad
Dual-zone snare triggering: head (tip) and rim (ring) are read over the one lead. Set the snare pad type to PDX8 so rim shots and cross-stick register on a Lemon mesh snare.
Tom pad 1-zone The tom leads on the dedicated connection cable → one per tom pad
The Roland TD-02 tom inputs are single-zone — only the head signal is read. Rim hits on a dual-zone tom pad will not produce a separate sound.
Kick pad Works The "KIK" lead on the dedicated connection cable → kick pad
Single-zone kick trigger via the dedicated connection cable. Only the head zone is active.
2-zone crash 2-zone The crash lead on the dedicated connection cable → cymbal
Dual-zone crash triggering: bow (tip) and edge (ring) respond independently over the one lead. Choke works by grabbing the cymbal edge. The TD-02 supports Roland CY-series 2-zone cymbals.
3-zone ride 3-zone RD (ride) + CR2 (crash 2) connectors on the dedicated connection cable → Ride 1 + Ride 2 — set CR2Usage to RDB
Full 3-zone ride (bow, bell, edge). The TD-02 reads the bow/edge output on its RD input and the bell on the CR2 input with CR2Usage set to RDB — the same CY-13R hookup the Lemon ride is already wired for. Assigning CR2 to the ride bell occupies the crash-2 input, so a second crash pad can't be connected at the same time.
Hi-hat Continuous The hi-hat lead → hi-hat pad + the "HHC" lead → hi-hat controller, both on the dedicated connection cable
Continuous hi-hat control. The TD-02 reads the Lemon hi-hat controller through its VH11 pad type (VH10 also works), giving smooth open-to-closed movement plus foot-splash. Set the pad type, then set the resting gap at the clutch while the module's VH Set screen reads out — a Lemon hi-hat has no offset adjustment screw.
