WorksYes — the T550 12" Kick works as a full kick on the Simmons SD1500: single zone.
Trigger
Wiring: 1× TS or TRS → the "To Kick" branch of the multi-pin cable harness
Single-zone kick trigger. Only the head zone is active.
Cable routing
- Connect a 1/4" TS or TRS cable from the kick pad to the branch of the multi-pin cable harness labeled "To Kick".
Module settings
- Press [UTILITY], then [MENU] to open Trigger Setup.
- Select the Kick input (strike the pad or use its Pad Select button).
- Step with [PAGE -/+] and adjust Sensitive, Thresh, Curve, Retrig-C, and X-Talk.
Tips
- Single-zone operation — only the head zone is active.
- A TS cable is sufficient for single-zone kick pads; TRS also works (ring is unused).
