T550 12" Kick on Roland TD-12

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T550 12" Kick when used with the Roland TD-12.

Yes — the T550 12" Kick works as a full kick on the Roland TD-12: single zone.

Trigger

Wiring: 1× TS or TRS → KICK input (1/4" TRS jack)

Single-zone kick trigger. Only the head zone is active.

Connect a 1/4" TS or TRS cable from the kick pad to the KICK input on the rear panel.

Press [TRIGGER], then [F1 (BANK)].
Strike the kick to select the KICK input (the cursor moves to the struck pad).
Use [+/-] or [VALUE] to set the "Trigger Type" to KD120 or KD80 to match your kick.
Press [F2 (BASIC)] to fine-tune "Sensitivity" (1-32) and "Threshold" (0-31).

Single-zone operation — only the head zone is active.
A TS cable is sufficient for single-zone kick pads; TRS also works (ring is unused).
