T550 12" Kick on Roland TD-50

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T550 12" Kick when used with the Roland TD-50.

Yes — the T550 12" Kick works as a full kick on the Roland TD-50: single zone.

Trigger

Wiring: 1× TS or TRS → KICK input (1/4" TRS jack)

Single-zone kick trigger. Only the head zone is active.

Connect a 1/4" TS or TRS cable from the kick pad to the KICK input on the rear panel.

Press the [TRIGGER] button.
Press the PAGE [UP] button to access page 1 (TRIG BASIC).
Press the [F1] (BANK) button to open the TRIGGER BANK screen.
Select the KICK (K) pad (strike it or use the cursor buttons).
Use the [-] [+] buttons or the dial to set the Trig Type to the model that most closely matches your connected pad (the full trigger-type list is in the module's Data List).
For finer control, press [F3] (SENS) and adjust Sensitivity (1.0-32.0) on the TRIGGER SENS screen.

Single-zone operation — only the head zone is active.
A TS cable is sufficient for single-zone kick pads; TRS also works (ring is unused).
