T550 12" Kick on Donner DED-200

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T550 12" Kick when used with the Donner DED-200.

Yes — the T550 12" Kick works as a full kick on the Donner DED-200: single zone.

Trigger

Wiring: 1× TS or TRS → Kick connector on the cable snake

Single-zone kick trigger via the cable snake. Only the head zone is active.

Connect a 1/4" TS or TRS cable from the kick pad to the Kick connector on the cable snake.

In DRUM KIT mode, press MENU, use the encoder or UP/DOWN to select SENSITIVITY, then press ENTER.
Press UP/DOWN to pick a parameter, tap the kick pad to select it (shown as BD), and turn the encoder to set the value.
Set SEN (drum sensitivity, 01-06) so your normal stroke registers at full volume.
Set THREH. (trigger threshold, 01-32) so light knocks don't trigger the pad.
Raise XTALK (crosstalk threshold, 01-32) if a neighbouring pad false-triggers this one, and RETR. (repeat trigger, 01-32) if you get double triggers.
Set VOL (volume, 00-127) to balance the pad against the rest of the kit.
Press SAVE to store the settings.

Single-zone operation — only the head zone is active.
A TS cable is sufficient for single-zone kick pads; TRS also works (ring is unused).
