T550 12" Kick on Roland Octapad SPD-30
Setup — T550 12" Kick on Roland Octapad SPD-30
WorksThe T550 12" Kick is fully supported on your Roland Octapad SPD-30.
Trigger
Wiring: 1× TS or TRS → an EXTERNAL TRIGGER INPUT jack with a KD Pad Type — single-zone
Single-zone kick trigger. Connect the Lemon kick pad to any free EXTERNAL TRIGGER INPUT jack and choose a KD-series Pad Type. The manual's 1/KICK jack is the obvious choice, but any of the four inputs works.
Cable routing
- Connect a 1/4" TS or TRS cable from the Lemon kick pad to a free EXTERNAL TRIGGER INPUT jack (1/KICK is the natural choice).
Module settings
- Press [MENU] > PAD > EXTERNAL, hit the kick (or step on it) to select its input, and set Pad Type to a KD profile such as KD-7 or KD-8.
- Raise the Mask Time value to prevent double-triggering from beater rebound.
Tips
- A TS cable is sufficient — the kick input is single-zone.
- Raise Mask Time if a single kick produces a double sound.
