- Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from the kick pad to the KICK input — all of this module's inputs are balanced and the manual says to "only connect stereo cables", so use a stereo cable even though the kick itself is single-zone.
Module settings
- Go to UNIT mode and page to the UNIT-TRIG page (PAGE UP / PAGE DOWN).
- Select the KICK channel by hitting the kick pad or with the CHANNEL UP / CHANNEL DOWN buttons.
- Set TYPE to Kick1 (faster response) or Kick2 (slower response).
- Set GAIN so all LED-meter segments light on the hardest hit.
- Set THRES for the lightest stroke you want to register (range -48 to -18 dB).
- Set CURVE to match your playing dynamics.
Tips
- Single-zone operation — only the head zone is active.
- Use a stereo (TRS) cable: the kick reads one zone, but this module asks for stereo cables on every input.
