T550 12" Kick on Roland SPD-SX

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T550 12" Kick when used with the Roland SPD-SX.

The T550 12" Kick is fully supported on your Roland SPD-SX.

Trigger

Wiring: 1× TS or TRS → a TRIG IN input (single-zone)

Single-zone kick trigger. Give the kick its own HEAD&RIM jack, or pair it with another single-zone pad on one jack via a PCS-31L Y-cable (TRIGx2 mode) — head-only, which is all a kick needs.

Cable routing

Connect a 1/4" TS or TRS cable from the Lemon kick pad to a free TRIG IN input.

Module settings

Press [MENU] > SETUP > TRIG IN and select the kick's trigger input.
Set TRIG TYPE to a kick profile such as KD-8 or KD-9.
Adjust THRESHOLD and MASK TIME to prevent double-triggering from beater rebound.

Tips

A TS cable is sufficient — the kick input is single-zone.
Raise MASK TIME if a single kick produces a double sound.
