WorksYes — the T550 12" Kick works as a full kick on the Roland TD-17: single zone.
Trigger
Wiring: 1× TS or TRS → KICK connector on the DB-25 cable snake
Single-zone kick trigger via the cable snake. Only the head zone is active.
Cable routing
- Connect a 1/4" TS or TRS cable from the kick pad to the KICK connector on the DB-25 cable snake.
Module settings
- Press [SETUP], turn the dial to select "Pad Settings", then press [ENTER].
- Press [F1] (TYPE), then strike the kick or select the KICK input.
- Turn the dial to set Pad Type to KD10.
- Press [F2] (BASIC), select "Sensitivity", and turn the dial to adjust it.
Tips
- Single-zone operation — only the head zone is active.
- A TS cable is sufficient for single-zone kick pads; TRS also works (ring is unused).
