T550 12" Kick on Roland TD-02

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T550 12" Kick when used with the Roland TD-02.

Yes — the T550 12" Kick works as a full kick on the Roland TD-02: single zone.

Trigger

Wiring: 1× TS or TRS → KICK connector on the DB-25 cable snake

Single-zone kick trigger via the cable snake. Only the head zone is active.

Connect a 1/4" TS or TRS cable from the kick pad to the KICK connector on the DB-25 cable snake.

Press the [MENU] button, use the [▲] [▼] buttons to select "PAD", and press the [ENTER] button.
Press the kick pedal to select the kick input (or hold [ENTER] and press the [▲] [▼] buttons).
Use the [▲] [▼] buttons to select "Type" and the [-] [+] buttons to set the kick PAD type to a KD value from the PAD Type list such as "KD10" or "KD9".
Select "Threshold" and raise it with the [-] [+] buttons if beater rebound causes double-triggering.
Press the [DRUM KIT] button to return to the DRUM KIT screen.

Single-zone operation — only the head zone is active.
A TS cable is sufficient for single-zone kick pads; TRS also works (ring is unused).
