Works

The T550 12" Kick is fully supported on your Roland TD-02.

Trigger

Wiring: 1× TS or TRS → KICK connector on the DB-25 cable snake

Single-zone kick trigger via the cable snake. Only the head zone is active.

Cable routing

  1. Connect a 1/4" TS or TRS cable from the kick pad to the KICK connector on the DB-25 cable snake.

Module settings

  1. The TD-02 has limited menu settings for trigger configuration.
  2. Navigate to the kick input and confirm the pad is detected.

Tips

  1. Single-zone operation — only the head zone is active.
  2. A TS cable is sufficient for single-zone kick pads; TRS also works (ring is unused).
