T550 12" Kick on Roland TD-11

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T550 12" Kick when used with the Roland TD-11.

Yes — the T550 12" Kick works as a full kick on the Roland TD-11: single zone.

Trigger

Wiring: 1× TS or TRS → KICK connector on the DB-25 cable snake

Single-zone kick trigger via the cable snake. Only the head zone is active.

Connect a 1/4" TS or TRS cable from the kick pad to the KICK connector on the DB-25 cable snake.

In the DRUM KIT screen, press [MENU], scroll to the SYSTEM icon, and press [F3] (SYSTEM).
Use the cursor buttons to select "Pad Settings", press [F3] (ENTER), then press [F1] (TYPE).
Strike the kick to select the KICK input, then set "Pad Type" to KD-8 or KD-120 to match your kick.
Press [F2] (BASIC) to fine-tune "Sensitivity" (1-32) and "Threshold" (0-31).

Single-zone operation — only the head zone is active.
A TS cable is sufficient for single-zone kick pads; TRS also works (ring is unused).
