T550 12" Kick on Roland TD-15

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T550 12" Kick when used with the Roland TD-15.

Yes — the T550 12" Kick works as a full kick on the Roland TD-15: single zone.

Trigger

Wiring: 1× TS or TRS → KICK connector on the DB-25 cable snake

Single-zone kick trigger via the cable snake. Only the head zone is active.

Connect a 1/4" TS or TRS cable from the kick pad to the KICK connector on the DB-25 cable snake.

In the DRUM KIT screen, press [MENU], scroll to the SYSTEM icon, press [F3] (SYSTEM), select "Pad Settings", then press [F3] (ENTER).
Press [F1] (TYPE), then strike the kick or select the KICK input.
Turn the value dial to set Pad Type to KD-120 or KD-140.
Press [F2] (BASIC) and set Sensitivity and Threshold for the kick.

Single-zone operation — only the head zone is active.
A TS cable is sufficient for single-zone kick pads; TRS also works (ring is unused).
