T550 12" Kick on Alesis Strike MultiPad

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T550 12" Kick when used with the Alesis Strike MultiPad.

Setup — T550 12" Kick on Alesis Strike MultiPad

Works

Yes — the T550 12" Kick works as a full kick on the Alesis Strike MultiPad: single zone.

Trigger

Wiring: 1× TS → Trigger In 1 (single-zone), or a 2 Trigger split leg

Single-zone kick trigger. Trigger In 1 is the dedicated single-zone jack — Alesis: "Trigger In 1 is a single-zone connection" (User Guide p.5) — and suits a kick directly on a mono TS cable. Alternatively, set a dual-zone jack (2/3 or 4/5) to Type = 2 Trigger and use a TRS-to-dual-TS splitter so the kick shares that jack with another single-zone pad.

Cable routing

  1. Connect a 1/4" TS cable from the Lemon kick pad to Trigger In 1.

Module settings

  1. Press Utility, then F3–Triggers, and set EXT Trigger to TRIN1.
  2. Set Sensitivity and Threshold under Pad → F1–Feel so a firm kick triggers cleanly without false hits.
  3. Raise Mask Time (Utility → F3–Triggers) if a single kick produces a double sound from beater rebound.
  4. Assign a kick sample to that trigger input.

Tips

  1. A TS cable is sufficient — Trigger In 1 is single-zone.
  2. If you need Trigger In 1 elsewhere, route the kick through a 2 Trigger jack with a splitter instead.
T550 12" Kick also fits 74 other drum modules — see setup
