12" 2-Piece Electronic Hi-Hat Cymbals on Donner DED-300X

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the 12" 2-Piece Electronic Hi-Hat Cymbals when used with the Donner DED-300X.

Setup — 12" 2-Piece Electronic Hi-Hat Cymbals on Donner DED-300X

Use with the kit's pedal controller

The 12" 2-Piece Electronic Hi-Hat Cymbals works on the Donner DED-300X as a continuous hi-hat driven by the kit's own pedal controller: open, half-open and closed positions.

Continuous Open Closed

Wiring: 1× TRS → HI-HAT lead on the signal-connection harness; keep the kit's own control pedal — the Lemon controller has no jack to connect to

The DED-300X reads pedal position from its own stock control pedal — open, half-open, and closed all trigger — with the half-open threshold adjustable via the Half HC ADJ utility (p.12). The pad channel is single-zone.

Cable routing

  1. Connect the Lemon hi-hat pad to the HI-HAT lead on the module's signal-connection harness.
  2. Keep the kit's own control pedal in place — it provides the pedal position; the Lemon controller has no jack to connect to.

Module settings

  1. MENU > SENSITIVITY > select Hi-Hat > PS, RS, THREH, XTALK, RETRIGER, VOLUME.
  2. MENU > UTILITY > Half HC ADJ adjusts the half-open/close pedal threshold (p.12).
12" 2-Piece Electronic Hi-Hat Cymbals also fits 69 other drum modules — see setup
