Wiring: 1× TRS (pad) → Hi-Hat connector on the cable snake + 1× TRS (pedal) → HH Pedal connector on the cable snake
The Command's HH Control input accepts a hi-hat pedal for open/closed triggering. The module uses Alesis's own pedal convention, and Roland-style continuous CV compatibility is not documented — treat as open/closed with this pedal.
Cable routing
- Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the hi-hat pad to the Hi-Hat connector on the cable snake.
- Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the hi-hat pedal controller to the HH Pedal connector on the cable snake.
Module settings
- Go to Kit → Menu → Trigger. Select the Hi-Hat input.
- Adjust Sensitivity, Threshold, and Splash Sens.
Tips
- No pedal curve options are available — the module uses a fixed pedal response.
- Splash Sens controls how easily splash sounds are triggered by quick pedal lifts.
- Open/closed transitions may feel less nuanced than modules with pedal curve tuning.
