12" 2-Piece Electronic Hi-Hat Cymbals on NUX DM-210

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the 12" 2-Piece Electronic Hi-Hat Cymbals when used with the NUX DM-210.

Setup — 12" 2-Piece Electronic Hi-Hat Cymbals on NUX DM-210

Use as switch hi-hat

The 12" 2-Piece Electronic Hi-Hat Cymbals works on the NUX DM-210 as a switch hi-hat: open/closed only.

Continuous Open Closed

Wiring: 1× TRS (pad) → Hi-Hat branch + 1× TRS (pedal) → HH Ctrl branch on the multi-pin trigger snake

Switch-type (open/closed) hi-hat. The DM-210 has no hi-hat calibration menu; with the Lemon controller the pedal drives open and closed articulations on this module.

Cable routing

  1. Plug the Lemon hi-hat pad into the HI-HAT branch of the trigger snake.
  2. Plug the hi-hat control pedal into the HH CTRL branch of the trigger snake.

Module settings

  1. In drum-kit mode, press the MENU button.
  2. Use the − / + buttons to select TRIG, then press OK.
  3. Hit the hi-hat pad to select it as the pad to adjust.
  4. Press OK to step to SENSITIVITY and THRESHOLD, and use − / + to set each value.
  5. Press MENU to return — the parameters save automatically.
  6. For open hi-hat, hit the pad without pressing the pedal; for closed, hit it with the pedal pressed.

Tips

  1. Half-open and splash nuance aren't available — the module distinguishes only open and closed.
12" 2-Piece Electronic Hi-Hat Cymbals also fits 69 other drum modules — see setup
