Wiring: 1× TRS (pad) → Hi-hat plug on the trigger snake + 1× TRS (controller) → Hi-hat Control plug on the snake
The snake carries a labelled Hi-hat Control lead, so the Lemon controller connects. This module's hi-hat channel follows the Alesis/Medeli convention, which reads a Roland-convention controller as open/closed. The pad channel is single-zone.
Cable routing
- Plug the snake's labeled Hi-hat connector into the Lemon hi-hat pad's 1/4" TRS jack.
- Connect the hi-hat controller to the snake's Hi-hat Control plug with a ¼″ TRS cable.
Module settings
- MENU > SENSITIVITY > select HH > PS, THR, XTALK, RETRIGER, VOLUME.
- Press SAVE to store the settings to the current PRESET.
Tips
- Hi-hat MIDI notes: open = 46, half-open = 23, closed = 42, pedal close = 44 — the module's own map; half-open is not reachable from a Roland-convention controller.
12" 2-Piece Electronic Hi-Hat Cymbals also fits 70 other drum modules — see setup
