Reduced — switch (open/closed)

The 12" 2-Piece Electronic Hi-Hat Cymbals works on your Alesis DM7X with reduced zones.

Continuous Open Closed

Wiring: 1× TRS (pad) → Hi-Hat connector on the cable snake + 1× TRS (pedal) → HH Pedal connector on the cable snake

Basic open/closed operation. Limited pedal sensitivity — closer to switch-type behavior than true continuous control.

Cable routing

  1. Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the hi-hat pad to the Hi-Hat connector on the cable snake.
  2. Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the hi-hat pedal controller to the HH Pedal connector on the cable snake.

Module settings

  1. Access the trigger settings menu on the module.
  2. Adjust Sensitivity and Threshold if available.

Tips

  1. Pedal response is basic — expect open and closed states with limited gradation between them.
  2. Half-open and splash articulations may not trigger reliably on this entry-level module.
