Continuous Open Closed

Wiring: 1× TRS → HI-HAT connector on the DB-25 cable snake + 1× TRS → HHC connector on the DB-25 cable snake

Continuous hi-hat control via the cable snake.

Cable routing

  1. Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the hi-hat pad to the HI-HAT connector on the DB-25 cable snake.
  2. Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the hi-hat controller pedal to the HHC connector on the DB-25 cable snake.

Module settings

  1. Press [SYSTEM], select "TRIGGER" and press [ENTER], then select "BANK" and press [ENTER] to open the TRIGGER BANK screen.
  2. Strike the hi-hat (display shows "HH") or use the cursor buttons to select the HI-HAT input.
  3. Use the dial to set the Trig Type to VH11 or VH13 (VH10 for a VH-10).
  4. Select "HI-HAT" from the TRIGGER MENU and adjust the offset via [F5] (OFFSET) while reading the meter.

Tips

  1. Continuous pedal control provides smooth open-to-closed transitions.
  2. Calibrate the hi-hat offset after connecting for accurate pedal response.
