Wiring: 1× TRS (pad) → Hi-Hat connector on the 25-pin cable snake + 1× TRS (pedal) → HH Pedal connector on the 25-pin cable snake
Same Nitro-family hi-hat platform. Pedal input is not documented as Roland VH/FD compatible — treat as open/closed.
Cable routing
- Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the hi-hat pad to the Hi-Hat connector on the 25-pin cable snake.
- Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the hi-hat pedal controller to the HH Pedal connector on the 25-pin cable snake.
Module settings
- Go to Utility → Trigger. Navigate to the Hi-Hat input.
- Adjust SEN (Sensitivity), THR (Threshold), and S-S (Splash Sensitivity).
Tips
- Half-open articulation is supported, which is an improvement over the original Nitro.
- No pedal curve options are available — the module uses a fixed pedal response.
- Continuous pedal resolution is limited compared to modules with dedicated pedal curve tuning.
