T950 13"x5" Snare Drum on Donner DED-200X

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T950 13"x5" Snare Drum when used with the Donner DED-200X.

Setup — T950 13"x5" Snare Drum on Donner DED-200X

Works

Yes — the T950 13"x5" Snare Drum works as a full snare on the Donner DED-200X: head + rim.

Head Rim

Wiring: Snare connector on the cable harness → snare pad

The DED-200X shares the DED-200 electronics; the snare channel is dual-zone — the head and the rim/sidestick trigger as separate MIDI notes. Pads connect through a labeled multi-pin harness that plugs into the module's parallel trigger port.

Cable routing

  1. Plug the Snare connector on the cable harness into the snare pad.

Module settings

  1. In DRUM KIT mode, press MENU, select SENSITIVITY, and press ENTER.
  2. Tap the snare pad to select it (shown as SN), press UP/DOWN to pick a parameter, and turn the encoder: SEN (drum sensitivity 01-06), THREH. (trigger threshold 01-32), XTALK (crosstalk 01-32), RETR. (repeat trigger 01-32), VOL (volume 00-127).
  3. Press SAVE to store the settings.

Tips

  1. Snare MIDI notes: head (S1) = 38, rim/sidestick (S2) = 37.
  2. MENU > MIDI NOTE lets you remap any zone's MIDI value if you use external software.
  3. On an input that reads head and rim, if the wrong zone plays, tune the module's head/rim settings for this pad's size; values set for a different-size pad may not carry over.
T950 13"x5" Snare Drum also fits 76 other drum modules — see setup
