Wiring: SNARE lead on the MULTI-A breakout cable → snare pad
The snare input supports dual-zone (head + rim) triggering via the center piezo and the rim piezo.
Snare and tom setup and troubleshooting guide ›Cable routing
- Plug the SNARE lead on the MULTI-A breakout cable into the snare pad. The EFNOTE 7 sound module has no 1/4" trigger jacks of its own — every pad reaches it through the MULTI-A and MULTI-B breakout cables, which screw into two multi-pin sockets recessed into the bottom of the module (named on Reference Guide p.4; Quickstart Guide p.10 step 1 shows the module turned over to fit them).
Module settings
- In the Trigger menu's PAD screen, select the snare Input.
- Adjust Sens and Threshold; Sens B adjusts the rim zone.
- If rim sounds trigger when you strike the head, adjust Head-Rim Border.
- Use the X-TALK ELIM. screen if hits on other pads falsely trigger this one.
Tips
- Head triggers from the center piezo, rim from a second piezo mounted under the head.
- The module's third snare zone (Side-Rim) rides a separate SIDE RIM lead on the MULTI-B breakout cable (Quickstart Guide p.11); a Lemon snare drives the SNARE lead only.
- On an input that reads head and rim, if the wrong zone plays, tune the module's head/rim settings for this pad's size; values set for a different-size pad may not carry over.
