Head
Rim
Wiring: 1× TRS → SNARE input (TRIGGER INPUT 2) on the rear panel
Dual-zone snare triggering: head (tip) and rim (ring) respond independently via the single TRS connection on the SNARE input.
Cable routing
- Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from the snare pad to the SNARE input (TRIGGER INPUT 2) on the rear panel.
Module settings
- Hold [SHIFT] and press [EDIT (SETUP)] to enter setup mode, then select TRIG BASIC.
- Strike the snare so the display shows the SNR input.
- Set the Trigger Type to PD-80R or PD-120 (for mesh dual-zone pads) — these are the trigger types optimized for separate head + rim sensing on the SNARE input.
Tips
- Head triggers from the center piezo, rim triggers from the rim switch.
- Both zones respond independently on the TRS connection (tip = head, ring = rim).
- The SNARE input is the only TD-6 input that fully supports the mesh-style rim signal used by PD-80R / PD-120 pads.
