T950 13"x5" Snare Drum on Roland TD-50

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T950 13"x5" Snare Drum when used with the Roland TD-50.

The T950 13"x5" Snare Drum is fully supported on your Roland TD-50.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS → SNARE input (1/4" TRS jack)

Dual-zone triggering: head (tip) and rim (ring) respond independently via the single TRS connection. The module's snare input reads both piezo (head) and rim switch/piezo signals.

Cable routing

Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from the snare pad to the SNARE input on the rear panel.

Module settings

Press [TRIGGER] > [F1] BANK.
Navigate to the SNARE input.
Set the trigger type to PD-128S or PD-140DS depending on your pad size.

Tips

Head triggers from the center piezo, rim triggers from the rim switch.
Both zones respond independently on the TRS connection (tip = head, ring = rim).
