Yes — the T950 13"x5" Snare Drum works as a full snare on the Simmons SD1500: head + rim.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS → the "To Snare" branch of the multi-pin cable harness

The snare input supports dual-zone (head + rim) triggering via the center piezo and the rim piezo.

Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from the snare pad to the branch of the multi-pin cable harness labeled "To Snare". The harness ends in a multi-pin connector that plugs into the Multi-Pin Connection Jack on the bottom of the module; apart from the side-panel TOM 4 and CRASH 2 jacks, every pad reaches the SD1500 through the harness.

Press [UTILITY], then [MENU] to open Trigger Setup.
Select the Snare input (strike the pad or use its Pad Select button).
Step with [PAGE -/+] and adjust Sensitive, Thresh, Curve, Retrig-C, X-Talk, Splash-S.

Head triggers from the center piezo, rim from a second piezo on the ring.
Both zones respond independently on the TRS connection (tip = head, ring = rim).
