T950 13"x5" Snare Drum on Lekato PD708

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T950 13"x5" Snare Drum when used with the Lekato PD708.

Setup — T950 13"x5" Snare Drum on Lekato PD708

Works

Yes — the T950 13"x5" Snare Drum works as a full snare on the Lekato PD708: head + rim.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS → TRIGGER IN 1/2 or 3/4 — head + rim

The PD708 is a nine-pad sampler pad, not a kit module. Its rear panel has four TRIGGER IN jacks, silkscreened 1/2, 3/4, 5/6 and 7/8, and Lekato says "all of them are with dual channel" — each jack carries two of the unit's eight external triggers. Lekato assigns them by job: "1/2 and 3/4 are used for connecting a dual zone trigger pad. 5/6 and 7/8 are used for connecting a dual zone cymbal" (User Manual p.7). A Lemon snare goes on 1/2 or 3/4 with a TRS cable, so head and rim arrive on the jack's two triggers and each plays its own sound.

Cable routing

  1. Connect a TRS cable from the Lemon snare pad to TRIGGER IN 1/2 or 3/4 on the rear panel.

Module settings

  1. Open the SYSTEM menu, go to PAD SETUP and strike the snare to select its trigger.
  2. On PAGE 1, set SENSITIVITY and THRESHOLD, then raise MASK TIME and RETRIG LEVEL if one hit sounds twice.
  3. On PAGE 2, choose a CURVE — Linear is the standard response.
  4. In the PAD menu, strike the head and choose a snare sound under Wave, then strike the rim and give it a rimshot or sidestick sound.

Tips

  1. Head triggers on the tip, rim on the ring of the same TRS cable.
  2. Raise ANTI CROSS on the snare if hits on the PD708's own pads set it off.
  3. On an input that reads head and rim, if the wrong zone plays, tune the module's head/rim settings for this pad's size; values set for a different-size pad may not carry over.
T950 13"x5" Snare Drum also fits 76 other drum modules — see setup
