Wiring: 1× TRS → the “HH” lead on the dedicated connection cable + 1× TRS (controller) → the “HHC” lead
Continuous hi-hat control. Supports VH-11 and VH-10 pad types.
Cable routing
- Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the hi-hat pad to the lead labeled “HH” on the dedicated connection cable.
- Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the hi-hat controller to the lead labeled “HHC”. The Setup Guide wires the stock VH-10 the same way: HH plug to its TRIGGER OUT jack, HHC plug to its CONTROL OUT jack.
Module settings
- With your foot off the pedal, power on the TD-17, then loosen the clutch screw so the hi-hat rests naturally on the motion sensor unit.
- Press [SETUP], turn the dial to select "Hi-Hat Settings", then press [ENTER].
- Turn the dial to set Pad Type to VH11 (or VH10).
- Set the resting gap with the clutch while reading the on-screen meter — a Lemon hi-hat has no offset adjustment screw, so raise or lower the cymbal until the meter centres.
Tips
- Continuous pedal control provides smooth open-to-closed transitions.
