The Lemon hi-hat pad and controller connect through the multi-pin cable harness and deliver open and closed hi-hat.

- Plug the "To Hi-Hat" branch of the multi-pin cable harness into the hi-hat pad.
- Plug the "To Hi-Hat Control" branch into the hi-hat controller — the manual notes this is the plug labeled "Hi-Hat Control".
Module settings
- With your foot off the pedal, set the resting gap at the clutch: loosen the clutch, raise the top cymbal on the controller until the released sound is as open as it gets, then tighten it — the clutch is the only control.
- Press the pedal to confirm it still reaches the closed sound; if it doesn't, lower the cymbal slightly and set the gap again.
- Press [UTILITY], then [MENU] to open Trigger Setup.
- Select the Hi-Hat input (strike the pad or use its Pad Select button).
- Step with [PAGE -/+] and adjust Sensitive, Thresh, Curve, Retrig-C, X-Talk.
Tips
- Set the resting gap at the clutch before judging the hi-hat — with the cymbal sitting too low on the controller, the released position can sound half-open rather than fully open.
