The Lemon hi-hat pad and controller connect through the multi-pin cable harness and deliver open and closed hi-hat.

- Plug the HH lead of the multi-pin cable harness into the hi-hat pad and the HH PEDAL lead into the hi-hat controller; the harness's multi-pin connector attaches to the Serial Connection Jack on the bottom of the module (Multi-Pin Jack Input, p.14).
Module settings
- With your foot off the pedal, set the resting gap at the clutch: loosen the clutch, raise the top cymbal on the controller until the released sound is as open as it gets, then tighten it — the clutch is the only control.
- Press the pedal to confirm it still reaches the closed sound; if it doesn't, lower the cymbal slightly and set the gap again.
- Press Utility, then the Function button under "Trigger" on the Main Utility screen.
- Select the Hi-Hat input (Follow Trigger — strike it — or Current Trigger).
- Adjust Sensitivity, Threshold, Curve, Retrigger, Crosstalk.
Tips
- Set the resting gap at the clutch before judging the hi-hat — with the cymbal sitting too low on the controller, the released position can sound half-open rather than fully open.
