Wiring: 1× TRS pad → an EXTERNAL TRIGGER INPUT jack (CY Pad Type) + hi-hat control pedal → HH CTRL jack
Continuous hi-hat control. The hi-hat pad connects to an EXTERNAL TRIGGER INPUT jack and the Lemon hi-hat control pedal connects to the dedicated HH CTRL jack, giving variable open-to-closed response. The SPD-30 supports FD-8 and VH-11 control profiles.
Cable routing
- Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from the Lemon hi-hat pad to a free EXTERNAL TRIGGER INPUT jack (3/HI-HAT is the natural choice).
- Connect the Lemon hi-hat control pedal to the dedicated HH CTRL jack.
Module settings
- Press [MENU] > PAD > HH PEDAL and adjust HH Pedal Sens for the connected pedal.
- Press [MENU] > INST > HH CTRL, select the hi-hat pad, and set HH CTRL to PEDAL so the sound switches according to how the pedal is pressed.
- In [MENU] > PAD > EXTERNAL, set the hi-hat input's Pad Type to a CY profile (or VH-11 if you use a V-hi-hat).
Tips
- Only one pad can be set to PEDAL for hi-hat control at a time.
- Continuous control gives smooth open-to-closed transitions; raise HH Pedal Sens if foot-close or foot-splash notes are too quiet.
