Continuous hi-hat control. The TD-07 reads the Lemon hi-hat controller through its VH-10/VH-11 pad type and calibrates open/close with the module's VH offset routine, giving smooth open-to-closed movement.
Cable routing
- Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the hi-hat pad to the HI-HAT connector on the DB-25 cable snake.
- Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the hi-hat controller pedal to the HHC connector on the DB-25 cable snake.
Module settings
- With the hi-hat completely separated from the motion sensor unit, power on the TD-07.
- Loosen the clutch screw and let the hi-hat rest naturally on the motion sensor unit.
- Press the [SETUP] button, use the [◀] [▶] buttons to select "PAD", and press the [ENTER] button.
- Strike the hi-hat to select the pad, use the [◀] [▶] buttons to select "Type", and use the dial to set it to "VH10" or "VH11".
- Use the [◀] [▶] buttons to select "VH Set" and press the [ENTER] button.
- If the screen indicates "Turn screw L", turn the offset adjustment screw counter-clockwise; if it indicates "Turn screw R", turn it clockwise. When the value is approximately 80 and "OK!" appears, the adjustment is complete.
- Fasten the clutch screw so the hi-hat opens to the amount you prefer, then press the [DRUM KIT] button to return.
Tips
- Continuous pedal control provides smooth open-to-closed transitions.
- Calibrate the hi-hat offset after connecting for accurate pedal response.
