14" 2-Piece Electronic Hi-Hat Cymbals on NUX DM-110

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the 14" 2-Piece Electronic Hi-Hat Cymbals when used with the NUX DM-110.

Setup — 14" 2-Piece Electronic Hi-Hat Cymbals on NUX DM-110

Use as switch hi-hat

The 14" 2-Piece Electronic Hi-Hat Cymbals works on the NUX DM-110 as a switch hi-hat: open/closed only.

Continuous Open Closed

Wiring: 1× TRS (pad) → Hi-Hat branch + 1× TRS (pedal) → HH Ctrl branch on the multi-pin trigger snake

Switch-type (open/closed) hi-hat. The DM-110 pedal is read as open or closed only — there is no half-open / variable-position detection and no hi-hat calibration menu.

Cable routing

  1. Plug the Lemon hi-hat pad into the HI-HAT branch of the trigger snake.
  2. Plug the hi-hat control pedal into the HH CTRL branch of the trigger snake.

Module settings

  1. The DM-110 has no on-module trigger or hi-hat menu — the inputs use fixed factory settings.
  2. For open hi-hat, strike the hi-hat without pressing the pedal.
  3. For closed hi-hat, strike the hi-hat with the pedal pressed.

Tips

  1. Half-open and splash nuance aren't available — the module distinguishes only open and closed.
14" 2-Piece Electronic Hi-Hat Cymbals also fits 69 other drum modules — see setup
