Wiring: 1× TRS (pad) → Hi-Hat input + 1× TRS (pedal) → Hi-Hat Control input
The Lemon pedal uses the Roland VH/FD convention, which Alesis doesn't document for continuous CV here — so with the Lemon pedal, treat hi-hat as open/closed.
Cable routing
- Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the hi-hat pad to the Hi-Hat input on the rear panel.
- Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the hi-hat pedal controller to the Hi-Hat Control input on the rear panel.
Module settings
- Press EXT TRIG to enter the Ext. Trig Menu, then set the Input field to HiHat.
- Set the InputType as appropriate.
- Adjust Sensitivity and Threshold for the pad.
- Calibrate the pedal: press CAL (F4), then with the pedal fully raised press CAL OPEN, and with it fully pressed press CAL CLSED, waiting for each step to confirm complete.
- Store your trigger settings so the calibration is retained after power-off.
Tips
- The Hi-Hat Control input is a separate dedicated jack — do not confuse it with the Hi-Hat pad input.
- This module does not support keyboard-style expression pedals for hi-hat control.
- Test the full pedal sweep to confirm smooth open-to-closed transitions.
