Continuous hi-hat control. The TD-4 transmits the actual pedal position over MIDI and supports the FD-8 footswitch as well as the VH-11 V-Hi-Hat.

- Plug the HH connector on the DB-25 trigger cable into the hi-hat pad.
- Plug the HHC connector on the DB-25 trigger cable into the hi-hat controller.
Module settings
- Press [MENU], choose "8 PAD SETTINGS" with the SEL buttons, and press [OK].
- Lightly strike the hi-hat to select the HH input.
- Use the SEL buttons to select "Pad Type", then set it with the [-/+] dial to VH-11 for a V-Hi-Hat.
- Adjust "HH Pedal Sens" (-5-+5) for foot-close and foot-splash response.
Tips
- Continuous pedal control provides smooth open-to-closed transitions, including foot splashes.
- Calibrate the pedal at its rest position after each power-on for accurate response.
