Continuous hi-hat control. The TD-4 transmits the actual pedal position over MIDI and supports the FD-8 footswitch as well as the VH-11 V-Hi-Hat.
Cable routing
- Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the hi-hat pad to the HH connector on the trigger input cable.
- Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the hi-hat controller pedal to the HHC connector on the trigger input cable.
Module settings
- Press [MENU] > 8 PAD SETTINGS and press [OK].
- Navigate to the HH input and set the Pad Type to CY-5 (for a Lemon hi-hat cymbal on a switch pedal) or VH-11 if you have a V-Hi-Hat.
- Use HH Pedal Sens to fine-tune foot-close and foot-splash response.
Tips
- Continuous pedal control provides smooth open-to-closed transitions, including foot splashes.
- Calibrate the pedal at its rest position after each power-on for accurate response.
