Wiring: 1× TRS → HI-HAT input on the rear panel + 1× TRS → HH CTRL input on the rear panel
Continuous hi-hat control. Set the Hi-Hat Ctrl Type to FD for the variable-resistance Lemon controller — the TD-20 then reads full open-to-closed pedal movement.
Cable routing
- Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the hi-hat pad to the HI-HAT input on the rear panel.
- Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the hi-hat controller pedal to the HH CTRL input on the rear panel.
Module settings
- Press [TRIGGER], then [F3 (HI-HAT)] to open the TRIGGER HIHAT screen.
- Use [CURSOR up/down] to select "Hi-Hat Ctrl Type" and [+/-] or [VALUE] to set it to "FD" — the correct mode for a variable-resistance hi-hat controller.
- Set "CC Max" (90 or 127) and "CC Resolution" (HIGH for the smoothest pedal control) with [+/-] or [VALUE].
- Press [F2 (BASIC)] and set Sensitivity and Threshold for the hi-hat pad.
Tips
- Set CC Resolution to HIGH for the smoothest continuous pedal response.
- Continuous pedal control provides smooth open-to-closed transitions.
